Google has been making dramatic changes to the social end of the company for business and users, This new design for Google+ has a cleaner more user friendly interface that will make your social experience more enjoyable

1. Larger Photos and Video

Google+ has already been showcasing its media side of the site, but the new change will draw a larger audience and capture users attention much easier. One photo will now take up nearly all of the above-the-fold area with the new change.

2. Re-named Features

The “What’s Hot” section of Google has now been re-named to “Explore”. Explore allow users to dig into the latest trends and view popular content that is being pasted around.

3. The New “Timeline”

You may already notice that the new layout resembles Facebook’s Timeline. It allows users to upload a large horizontal image that shows up alongside and behind their profile picture. This seems to be an attempt to help Google+ become a more personalized experience and compete with Facebook’s customization capabilities.

4. Easy Hangouts

With the new layout, Hangouts are becoming a bit easier to manage.  Instead of working directly into the stream, There is a page just for “Hangouts”. This will allow users to be updated on Hangout invitations, easy access to public hangouts and popular hangouts.
